An early morning start (5h00) takes you to a 4h drive across the dust-dry desert to Luxor (ancient Thebes), the greatest outdoor museum in the world. You'll step back into Egypt's ancient history by visiting the Temple of Karnak on the east bank, then cross the Nile to see the Colossi of Memnon, the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatchepsut and the Valley of the Kings or Queens. Admission to 3 tombes. Return in the late afternoon.
